I want to buy
geared-motor
Product Description
We are a company (from Malaysia) manufacturing equipments and need to use AC & DC Gear-Motors in the process. The specs required briefly are as follow;-
1.) Type = standard Geared-motor, foot mounted, non-braking, non-speed variable
2.) Voltage = 240Vac, 415Vac, 12Vdc & 24Vdc
3.) Rating = Continuous rated with thermal protection
4.) Power output for AC motors = ¼ & ½ hp. (approx. 200 & 400W)
5.) Power output for DC motors = 50 – 100w (all sizes available in this range)
6.) Freq. = 50Hz
7.) Gear-head output shaft speed = approx. 80rpm
8.) Gear-head output shaft orientation = LHS & right-angled (looking at gear-head)
9.) Gear-head output shaft material/body = solid stainless-steel type
10.) Gear-head output shaft direction = clockwise rotation (looking at shaft)
11.) Protection = min. IP54
12.) Insulation = min. Class F
13.) Torque = Not known, but must be able to rotate continuously a total weight of 4kg hanging at one end from the gear-head output shaft. The weight is shaped in a `T’ with most of the weight (3.5kg) at the top of the `T’. The connecting shaft (0.5kg) is approximately 10 inches long. (See explanation of weight rotation & connection below)
14.) Overall weight (motor + gear-head) = preferably not more than 15kg.
15.) Overall dimension (motor + gear-head) = preferably not bigger than 220(l) x 110(w)mm, excluding gear-head’s shaft side protrusion length.

How the 4kg weight is attached to the gear-head
We attached a free-gear (pulley) to the gear-head shaft. This free-gear is only able to rotate clockwise. The base of the `T’-shaped 4kg weight is physically attached to the free-gear itself. When the gear-head shaft turns clockwise, the weight will swing clockwise. When the gear-head shaft stops rotating, the weight will still be able to rotate clockwise until it loses momentum (energy) and gradually stops at an angle of 45 degrees above centre-horizontal line. Therefore, a sudden stop of the weight will never happen at all. This jerk-free safety feature is possible with the adage of our free-gear. The weight will always start to rotate clockwise from the angle mentioned above. Please take this into consideration when sizing gear-head unit.

Please recommend the suitable model/s and quote the above with respect to cost, quantity (min. & bulk order) and lead time required for the various types of AC & DC geared-motors. Do write to me if you need further details.
