<span style="font-family:Verdana;">1. Park the functioning car so that the vehicles face each other, making sure that they're not touching each other and both cars' engines are turned off.</span><br />
<span style="font-family:Verdana;"> 2. Clamp the red jumper cable (which is marked with a "+" ) to the dead car's positive battery terminal.</span><br />
<span style="font-family:Verdana;"> 3. Clamp the other end of the red jumper cable (also marked with a "+" )to the rescue car's positive battery terminal.</span><br />
<span style="font-family:Verdana;"> 4. Clamp the black jumper cable (which is marked with a "-" ) to the dead car's positive battery terminal.</span><br />
<span style="font-family:Verdana;"> 5. Clamp the other black of the red jumper cable (also marked with a "-" )to the rescue car's positive battery terminal.</span><br />
<span style="font-family:Verdana;"> 6. Start the rescue car's engine and then start the dead car's engine.</span><br />
