It is a kind of alloy which contains Fe, Si, mg. this alloy is most used in flexible cast iron, Compressed graphite cast iron, and steel purification. Addition of ferro silicon magnesium to iron cast alloys and steel alloys causes a graphite to be spherical and increases the hit resistance in casting parts.
